IN THIS SECOND PART OF THIS SERIES "HOW TO SELL ART", I focus on places to dine for selling your art....places where people come and go regularly and provide a fine audience for your fine art, AND and a sale of paintings for you. Just about every style of art works in this venue (just make sure it is family friendly)
IF YOU LIKE REVIEW PLACES to SELL your ART PART 1.
COFFEESHOPS
Everywhere you look these days there are coffee shops. Some are big chains and others are privately owned and operated. These are GOLDMINES for displaying and selling your art. The shop owners are usually more than happy to feature artwork. Please make sure it is presented nicely and some person is sure to hit on your paintings.
There is nothing like having art with your coffee and danish. And, it is a great way to get your name and fine art before people.
I even had a 2 day show of 20 paintings at a Coffee Beanery using my own hanging display. It resulted in many sales and newspaper coverage. Let me know if this works for you!!
YOUR CAFE
Do you personally have a favorite spot for a quick lunch or dinner? Your favorite cafe or local diner is another place to sell your paintings. Maybe even having a very short biographical piece framed with a photo of yourself hanging with your fine art will help people connect with you. Before you know it people will be saying they have heard of your name. Having artwork and paintings to look at while you eat can't be beat and does result in sales.
FINE DINING
PLEASE NOTE:Many fine dining places adore having fine art and artists paintings hanging on their walls. This is another fine place to sell your art. One place I now have a regular show is at a beautiful restaurant called FANDANGLES. They host different artists every month and their work sells. I have personally been in many fine restaurants and it is a good place to sell your paintings. You can usually get some newspaper coverage when you have a show at a restaurant.
Anytime you have a show of your artwork Anywhere, contact your local newspaper and any other regional art organizations to let them know you are doing this. It is free publicity and worth its weight in art marketing gold!!!
