LELAND MICHIGAN IS EVERYWHERE YOU WANT TO BE!   Talk about picturesque..and charming to the nth degree...  This is a famous view from the bridge next to the FALLING WATERS LODGE .
This place is fodder for the "artists soul" (and brush)!!! the colors of the lake and the relaxed way the boats are tied up are 2 of the things that always draw me to this place.
This is a Michigan landscape I can paint over and over again...the changing light, the people and the little vignettes  of things happening here have made it a popular  hamlet..sort of the Cape Cod of Michigan in miniature.  SOMETIMES you can see the big Lake Michigan fish cruising around right here in this area...the water is sooo clear! The winter is even fascinating to see when the fishing boats are moored up for the season.  No "salt" smell though like the sea.  I do think a winter version of  Leland should be done soon..by me!
