WHAT THE STORE SAID...
M 22 IS ONE of MICHIGAN'S COASTAL roads.....AND I PAINT M 22!!!
It starts just north of Manistee on lake michigan and flows along the west coast of Michigan through the towns of Onekama, Acadia, Frankfort, Empire, Glen Arbor, leland, to Northport...where it swings south to Omena, and Suttons Bay, ending in Traverse City, Michigan.
It's also a company that sells all sorts of neat "M 22 stuff." check it out...
quoted from the people who created M22 on the M22 website: this is their philosophy:
"M-22 is not just a road; it is a way of life.
Founded by kiteboarders in search of epic wind and waves, M-22 was created to express a common passion for Northern Michigan. However, M-22 shares this passion beyond Michigan's borders. It is marked by the simplicity and appreciation for natural wonders such as bays, beaches and bonfires, dunes and vineyards, cottages, friends and family everywhere.
M-22 is the feeling you get when you realize there is no other place you would rather be.
we donate a portion of every sale to The Leelanau Conservancy"
THAT SHOULD BE MICHIGAN PAINTINGS' MISSION STATEMENT.! (although I am not a kiteboarder ) you get the gist of it. I too feel that passion for my home state Michigan.
This is one of my M 22 paintings that is sold (Frankfort Michigan).
