Platte Bay, Empire, Michigan , Mikey said "I LIKE IT" !!!!! his Beach Walk

Copy (5) of DSCN0169

PLATTE BAY NEAR EMPIRE MICHIGAN was just the right place for a hike, more of a stroll ..so to speak. A whiff of Clean Lake Michigan air and the warm sand in my toes.  This piece of Northern Michigan Lakeshore will take you on a pleasant  journey.."forget all your troubles" kind of day.  If you are a fisherman, you are probably wondering what the catch of the day is, like Larry would.  But Diane the artist is plotting and scheming her next Michigan painting.

PLATTE BAY, Lake Michigan is where the Platte River ends its'  travels.  (It's also a great place to swim or float the last quarter mile and get dumped into the lake.)  But back to that stroll and the sand in my toes.  This painting was one of two that were  created from the beach on the bay. It was approximately High Noon and I stretched the color this time and liked the vibrancy.   There just aren't a lot of big shadows available at this time.

PLATTE BAY IS ALSO in the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore along that wonderful road "M-22".  The little town of Empire Michigan is host to a splendid beach also...I have seen folks gather night after night after night for the sunset.  Sometimes we clap at the end.  This painting  could be a wonderful  reminder of a beach day for you.
